Once a bustling vacation destination, Stony Creek is home to the picturesque Thimble Islands—over 100 tiny islandssteeped in lore. Its granite helped build iconic landmarks such as Grand Central Terminal, the Brooklyn Bridge, and theWest Point Battle Monument. The village’s past is woven with tales of pirates and buried treasure, a once-thriving fishingindustry, and a deep-rooted theater scene that attracted legends like Orson Welles.
